My friend Teri asked me to create a portfolio site for her excellent photography. I met her in a photo composition class at Showcase School of photography and was impressed with her work. She has been getting inquiries about her work so this site can do all the talking for her. I built this site so she could easily update her portfolio herself directly from Lightroom, with out having to resort to HTML editing. Give her site a look at www.TeriDarnell.com
I had the opportunity to assist Melissa make some head and body shots for a young male model named Kipp who jumped off tables, changed clothes 3 times and blushed when we asked him about his girlfriends. It was a fun experience. To see Melissa’s work check out her site at www.MelissaWitcher.com
To see Kipp’s photos that Melissa took, check out Kipp’s gallery at www.MelissaWitcher.com/kipp
I got to work with a chameleon today in the form a beautiful young woman named Marie. She can change her look very easily to give a lot of variety to the photos. She was part of an all day test shoot that I did with photographer Justinas Bartkevius. We had 3 models and full run of his house. Here is Marie’s photo gallery of that day.
One of the best new programs that I bought is Corel Painter which works hand in hand with my new Wacom Drawing Tablet. I have experimented with converting my photographs to paintings. Painter allows me to apply a natural medial look to photos by drawing on brush strokes onto my photos. This is different than a Photoshop filter that is applied to a photo because I have greater control over how the image will ultimately look. This is just what I needed to reconnect with my drawing and painting that I have been missing for years.
Life is kind of funny. It seems that if you wait long enough, it will repeat itself. I met Michelle many years ago when she was just a young teenager and now she has a tiny baby of her own. She and Josh (the daddy) brought the little red headed cutie to the office and I could not resist snapping a few photos. Check out Danielle’s photo gallery.
Some of our corporate clients at Graphic Works have expressed the need for photography to be used in their annual reports, news letters and brochures. I have created a small online gallery to show some of my portrait photography since this is mostly what they need shot. You can see the gallery at www.GraphicWorksAtlanta.com/gw-photo-samples
I am never one to rest on my laurels (as my old Latin teacher would say). So, for the next six weeks, I and my wife, Jenny, will be taking another portrait class from the Showcase School of Photography. One of our favorite teachers, David Knox, will be putting us through our paces and stuffing our brains with photographic knowledge. I’ll post assignments as the weeks tick off. You can learn more about the Showcase School and David at www.TheShowcaseSchool.com

Patiochest.com is the e-commerce site that sells The Georgian Patio Chest. This is a heavy duty, outdoor storage chest that can be used on patios, decks, yards, gyms or anywhere else good looking, highly functional storage is needed. I have seen these chests in person and they would easily look right at home on a mansion estate.
Graphic Works was hired by the Georgia Office of the Inspector General to create a web site and print based report for their annual activity. I got to work on this project and it was designed to be clean, simple and easy to navigate. You can see the site at www.oigannualreport.com.
