I only work for nice people. Hey, life is too short.
I have worked at the same graphic design studio since 1993 when I was hired straight out of school. Thanks to David and Jim for giving me that first chance. Here is our new web site: graphicworksatlanta.com.
I surround myself with talented friends and artists. That way I might absorb some of their skill and talent magically through osmosis. I ride motorcycles in the North Georgia mountains. I prefer Hondas and currently own a vintage 1988 Honda Hawk GT and a 1998 VFR Interceptor.
My wife Jenny is a psychology professor at Agnes Scott College and does research on commuting. Learn more about that here: CommutingResearch.com
I proposed to my wife while scuba diving in an underwater cave in Florida. We surfaced in a little air dome, and I had my friend (Bob) float the ring up into the dome on a fishing bobber. Note to self... bobbers don't rise very quickly 40 feet underwater, and stale cave air makes me stutter. I got through my speech, but it wasn't pretty. |
Jenny and I eloped to Colorado and got married on July 5 so I could easily remember our anniversary. We took a hot air balloon ride and were almost married by a retired preacher almost 2 miles straight up. (We left our certificate at the hotel so we went with our original marriage plans.) We also crash landed on the very same trip and almost did not make it to our wedding ceremony... That was scary! I did no know that balloons bounce when they hit the ground.
We picked the place to get married on a hike on a mountainside. During a break, a double rainbow appeared telling us that we should get married at that spot. I'm a sucker for good omens.
Our children are named Buddy Luv and Winston Napoleon. Don't worry, these children are Boston Terriers and immune from getting picked on at school for their names.
I volunteer my time and services to the Liberty Foundation, a non-profit flying museum that operates a rare WWII Boeing B-17 Bomber. I have met many veterans who are my personal heroes for what they have done for this country. Here is the web site I made for them: libertyfoundation.org
I have one brother and two sisters who all live in Virginia. My parents are still married and they are my favorite people in the world. |
