The Man Behind the Mask...
Who is Andrew Hughes?

Andrew was born and raised in historic parts of Virginia. His mother and father whipped him into shape for 18 years (literally ha ha), and sent him into the big world to make his fortune. His mother taught him to treat others with empathy and respect. His father taught him to do his best in any situation, especially when the going gets tough. (Thanks Ma and Pa!)

Andrew attended Gifted Art Programs as a child where he learned to let his imagination run wild. After graduating High School, he was educated at Virginia Commonwealth University. There he learned that college is not always about what is taught in class.

His first real "art" job was as a graphic designer for a large corporation in Petersburg. A few days of "on the job training" was worth more than many theoretical classes. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with an emphasis in graphic design.

In 1993, Andrew was hired by Graphic Works, a small design company in Atlanta, where he has worked ever since. There he learned valuable skills form coworkers and clients alike.

Andrew's interest in photography was peaked in college by David Bremmer who taught artists to be photographers. Those days were filled with darkroom chemicals and grayscale prints. Now the computer is his digital darkroom. And while he can be nostalgic, there is no going back... the digital age is here to stay.

You can often see Andrew taking photos with his favorite co-conspirator, Jenny (his wife).
